Nooks/crannies to clean out to prevent rust 700

I've got rust developing on corners of doors, wheel wells, trunk. I know I need to clean out places where gunk gets trapped but I don't know where these places are.

I've poked around the holes in the bottom of the doors and haven't felt any kind of buildup. Aside from that i'm not sure where else to check. Can anyone tell me some other places gunk usually gets trapped in 700 sedans? Mine is a 1991 740
