So here is what is going on. When we are driving the car when it hits about 50 mph ( where it should be going into 4th gear ) We know it is going into 4th as we can kick it down with the overdrive button and that will engage and disengage properly. BUT>>>>>>>> It doesn't feel like it is. it does not feel like the engine and transmission are connecting. It's just not right! My abs light has been coming on every now and then for a long time we figured the front sensors needed cleaning as it comes on at super low speeds like backing out of the driveway etc. This issue with the 50 mph gear change did happen after we had suspension work done new shocks, struts, and tranny empty re fill with deztron III, new engine mounts and tranny mounts , fluid changes etc.. Before then it ran fine. All we can think of is kick down cable, because of the new engine and tranny mounts or possibly the rear wheel speed sensor? Can you give us any insight and is it possible to check that rear wheel speed sensor without pulling it to make sure it is working? Please any great ideas. I keep thinking its that darn solenoid and or wire for the overdrive but husband says no the overdrive button would not work like it does and the fuse would be blowing again. Throw me ideas please! I want my car back to normal!
The vroom at 50 needs to go bye bye.
