Please be patient if you're receiving duplicate emails. The old server still sends some things that the new server/handling is handling.

I'm hoping to turn off the old server today.

If you hover over emails, you can see that the anonymous email system has changed.

There are some small changes to the messages, but I'll try to make them familiar and improve as needed.

For the computer techies, I'm switching to fully platform (PaaS) based handling. I moved everything to python code, which will be better suited for serverless implementation. This is AWS SES and SNS handling the requests with a temporarily server-based endpoint. The latter can move to Lambda, but I wanted to work out the code, as Python is new to me, prior to jumping into that.

As I figure all of this out, including moving just about everything to JSON, I will eventually be able to eliminate the server altogether. That will take time, but I'm moving that direction.

I'll also have the ability to implement different forms of notification, which could be nice for users: SMS, mobile push, etc.

Of course, when I'm done with this, I'll have forum software with outrageous scalability. I'll likely launch some other topic on another domain to see where I can take it.

This could allow me to tinker with the UI/UX without annoying the Brickboard user base. I HAVE been thinking for a long time about better mobile. These javascript frameworks could make it so easy to upgrade to something much more usable and familiar, probably especially for younger users.
