anyone run into this before 900

1994 turbo

had to change clusters and the new cluster works correctly with one odd flaw.

as soon ass the key is turned to the 2 position or the engine is started the temperature gauge immediately goes to the normal 12 noon position before the engine even warms up.

once warmed up it does not rise to overheat but remains in the non position.

the engine has never overheated and the old cluster did not exhibit this behavior.

any ideas why its happening
