The 940 has several vacuum lines which are hard plastic, and fit into rubber connectors.
I found one angled connector which had cracked enough to leak vacuum, and I repaired it by taking the connector out of the car, still attached to its sensor, and applying 2 coats of the rubber/plastic dip you can buy to coat tool handles. Let the first coat dry overnight.
The plastic liquid also worked a treat on my 93 940s shift handle, which had become sticky as it aged. Rather than pulling the shift handle and dipping it, I chose to apply the dip with a 1" wide brush. The plastic coating is also available in spray cans.
