Oil Light Stays on for 4-5 Seconds on Every Start Up 200 1988

1988 Volvo 240DL N/A with about 300k. Since I got it a month ago, the oil light stays on for 4-5 seconds every time I start the engine. This is despite a new oil filter, synthetic oil (I put in 5W-30 for better cold-start protection), and, when cold, dipstick saying oil level is full (at the very top of the dipstick "full" area. There are no oil leaks, as shown by lack of oil under the car and the dipstick reading being constant over the past month.
