Fender welt 444-544

I need to buy Fender welt set for 4 fenders.

What did 544's have when new, the solid vinyl or the type that is vinyl fabric sewn around filler rod ?

The vinyl fabric sewn around filler rod seems like what I have used years ago on domestic cars. Easier to cut out bolt holes and relief cuts to make curves easier.

I have left over for some reason a roll of solid vinyl (5mm bead) but it is a little thick and may give trouble fitting in the gap.

Does any body glue one side on with weatherstripping adhesive to hold in place while putting fenders on ?
