replacement for felt piping on manual sunroof 200 1981

hi all,

getting ready to paint the manual sunroof on my 1981 242 turbo. has anyone found a good option for the felt piping that runs around the sunroof opening? i could tape it off, but part is frayed, and i'd like to replace it if possible. any tips on attaching new felt piping also much appreciated.
