PV444 door rubber weatherstrip

Help! I completely rebuilt my doors with all new weatherstrips, window fuzzies, vent window seals etc. All was well until I installed the first door on the body and the door will not completely shut. The rubber weatherstrip will not compress enough to allow the door to close and latch. I am wondering if I installed the weatherstrip backwards.
