98 Volvo S70

First time user. Need help. Car fuel pump went out. Installed new one now car will run 2 minutes and go dead. Idles rough and will not stay running without patting gas pedal. OBD-ll/EOBD reader reads, no codes are stored in the module. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Rick
