A/C Thermostat and Expansion Valve Question. Almost back Together ! 200

Hello all, almost got my A/c system back together on my 87 244. New Sanden 7 cylinder compressor, running 134. Installed a new Expansion Valve and can't remember where the little piglett tail is supposed to clamp to? Also can't remember if it had a spring clip on it, or a worm hose clamp.

Also can't remember where the Thermostat switch capillary tube is supposed to clamp to? is it supposed to have the spring clip or the hose clamp?

I have a Spring Clip and a Small Worm gear hose Clamp. One held one thing, and one held the other :(

Yes, I took photographs, but all of this was covered up by a giant blob of black insulation goo. So I can't tell where they go. Would think they would both go on the outlet tube of the Evaporator just before it attaches to the hose going back to the compressor.

Also, still need to know what color wires would hook to the Snowflake switch I installed on an 87, the Bentley Manual does not seem accurate on this point.

When I get all of this together and working will post all the results and stuff I have learned for the next guy. Had new hoses made with High and low pressure ports installed. Will show where I put them and why. Will also show/tell what wires I ended up using to get the Snowflake switch working on my 1987 244.

Any help appreciated ..... Scott in hotter than hell Dallas, Texas
