I have a '90 744T that I maintain. It quit in the street on Mother's Day. We managed to restart it and drive about 50 to park it out of harms way. Then a couple hours later we started it and drove it about 2 miles back to the owner's house where it died in the driveway. Now it will NOT restart at all. It cranks fine but no start.
Here's what I've changed so far: Fuel pump & Filter, Fuel pump relay, Noise suppression and radiator fan relays, Crane position sensor (insulation was split), cap, and rotor.
I've pulled the connector on the computer on the passenger's kick panel and checked voltages and continuity and all that's OK too.
The fuel pumps are audible. The injection system is the EZ-116K (LH Jetronic 2.4). It has a blink code of 1-1-1 so it indicates nothing is wrong. When I run the diagnostic on the throttle position switch and CPS both are OK.
I checked the spark at the coil by shorting it to the block and it's yellow and weak.
So, I've got spark (albeit a weak one), and fuel. The car ran just great with NO drive-ability issues until it quit.
The car has 114,000 miles on it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, when I changed the cap I'm not sure I put the wires back on right. Does anyone have a link to a photo of how they should be?
Thanks
