Front hub assembly play... 200 1990

All,

While bleeding the brakes on my son's car and fixing other things that don't work, I noticed that I can pull and push the front hub wheel bearing assembly in and out about a 1/16" to maybe an 1/8" of an inch.

Should there be play like this in the hub assembly?
