My S90's sunroof has been making noise even when closed, because the fuzzy wind seal gasket has worn out.
But this did the trick - black plastic dip that's used to re-coat tool handles. Lowe's has it for less than $10, or any good hardware store should have it.
I opened the sun roof all the way to the "vent" (angled upwards) and cleaned the gasket with rubbing alcohol.
Then took a stiff art brush, a flat one about a half inch wide, and painted the plastic coating onto the areas of the gasket that were exposed, brushing horizontally, covering all the gasket surface.
In my case, one coat of the plastic did the trick, but another coat or two could be applied. By brushing horizontally along the gasket, rather than up and down, any small ridges created by the brush actually help.
I didn't worry about painting the gasket along the front edge of the sunroof panel, because the wind noise had been coming from the rear edge.
