Empty Brake MC = No Brakes 120-130

I just got off the phone with a representative at Wilwood about replacing my Brake Master Cylinder with one of theirs.
The car is a 62 2dr sedan, drums rear dics front. No power booster.

The rep started taking me down a long road, first it was "you should get a tandem" cylinder since you have drums/discs.

I said I didn't want to complicate things, a single line type MC would do.

He gave up easy and continued that a 1" bore is what I need. How does that sound?

The he said I'd need a proportioning valve, I don't see how a pro valve would help in a single loop system? Please advise.

And finall I need a 10 lb residual valve since I have drums in the rear. Huh?

This car has never had a problem before, but this morning, after sitting since late fall it had no brakes, which I discovered when I hit (not literally) the first stop sign. The resevoir was empty. May not be the MC but It stopped okay when it was put away just after a complete service-so the mc was full and I don't see any fluid on the floor under the car. I bought a Wilwood clutch MC last year which worked out fine with no hassles or extra equipment. The prices for these things is reasonable at around $50-55.00. Your advise will be appreciated.
Thanks, Anthony
