Seat belt warning light comes on when pushing on right side of steering wheel 200

It's been a while since I have posted - absolutely zero issues with the '92 240 in 35,000 miles. But I got in it the other day and noticed that the seat belt warning light comes on when I push on the right side of the steering wheel while it is in the straight position. I searched the forum but found nothing related to this issue. Any help out there? Thanks in advance.
