I am beginning to figure out that the fan shroud on my 92 240 is crucial to cooling. I broke it last week while disassembling to change water pump and alternator. I didnt bother fixing it to put it back on thinking that it was not that important. Is it? At stops/sitting idling it gets very hot, but once i start moving again at a decent speed it cools down. This car has always run at a decent temp in all conditions until now and this is the only thing that has changed. Am I missing something here?
