Any trouble with temporarily bypassing the shift lock microswitch? 900 1993

So I've figured out that my shift lock microswitch is bad. shorted the switch terminals with a paper clip and it shift right out of park.

My sister is going to borrow my car for ~ 10 days and I know she will complain about having to push the interlock button every time.

Is it OK to jumper the switch closed? As I understand it the solenoid fires when foot on brake + microswitch engaged.

OR

I could wire up and mount a dash mounted momentary push button that woul emulate the microswitch.

OR

tell her to deal with it, we are borrowing her van for vacation though.

My procrastinating self has waited until the last day to try and fix it so I dont have tiem to order in a new switch. I doubt its something available at radioshack??

Thanks,
Matt
