Driver’s door glass separated from the track today and I am seeking advice on best ways to repair it.

This morning my window wouldn’t go up or down in my 98 V90 as it was well below freezing and the car had not warmed up I assumed it was just ice. After turning into my sub on the way back home from my errand the driver’s door glass started to lower slowly (probably good luck as it could have broken if it fell quickly). I can try to roll the window up (motor and track works) but the window is not moving properly as the it was misaligned and the door panel bulges on the inside when I tried to roll it back up.

After I got home I raised the glass manually then rolled up the window and it appears to be held in place firmly. So do I need to re-glue the glass into the track? And if so what kind of glue have people had good luck with?

If not what should I plan on buying to fix the car? Suggestions are appreciated as its cold outside and I’m not really in the mood to tinker. In fact I may let this fester until the spring as its pretty cold outside in Michigan these days….but not rolling your driver’s window down is rather annoying…

. [Inquiry] How do I put the front drivers
window glass back in track. The window has somehow came out of its door hinge
side track. Took off panel, but have no ideas on how to get it back in.
[Response: Bob] Release the two clips that mount the window to the track, and
pull the regulator mountings out of the mounting at the base of the window. Now,
tilt the rear edge of the glass upward and front downward till it clears the tracks,
re-insert the glass in the track while tilting glass back to horizantal. Once
everything is back in place and clips reinstalled, roll the window”
