front wheel stud replacement/anti-lock brake ring 1992 240 200

I am replacing two front wheel studs on a 1992 240 wagon. I've done this before on other cars, and never run into this:

I removed the brake caliper, and the rotor. I heated up one broken stud and it hammered out so easily, that I just took a coupla good bangs on the other and out it came.

But... the broken studs were short enough to clear the anti-lock brake ring (the toothed thingie that activates the sensor when the wheel turns) on the back of the hub.

The new studs, of course, are longer, and those studs won't clear the anti-lock brake ring when I try to insert them.

So... Can I put a puller on that ring? The outer toothed rim looks too flimsy for that. How does it come off?
