Been debating what to do in the springtime when I register my 63 544. My mudflaps say "VOLVO" on them so I'm not interested in putting the make on the plate but the year and model does interest me since it's hard to identify the car by its small lettering.

On the other hand, I'm not a huge vanity plate fan. I see a personalized plate as more about informing the viewer rather than bragging. I suppose a lot of 444/544 owners simply get asked "What IS that?" A regular plate works fine for me too.

Any thoughts or comments? Has anybody seen a particularly well done plate for a 544 on their travels? Many of the combinations have already been taken in my province but suggestions are welcomed.
