burning lens 200

seems like a tail light bulb is burning through the outside of the lens on the left side middle bulb .. any ideas how to stop this? it seems to be the correct bulb in the holder but the lens has a 'melted' spot on it.. the fog light works ok
but the left brake light intermittently doesn't work.
thanks for any ideas
