I've not been able to remove my front rotors (Girling). However, I've noticed a bit of a rumple when spinning the rotor and also an increase in driveline noise when turning, so maybe I can kill 2 birds with one stone and remove the hubs and rotors complete and replace the hubs as well. So here are some questions:
1. How easy is it to remove the front hubs after removing the nut? Will they just slide off the spindles, or will I need a big puller? Is it evenmore difficult tan removing rusted-on rotors?
2. I don't have ABS, but checking fcpeuro.com on line the illustration of the hub appears to have an ABS "gear". Could this just be an incorrect image, or will ABS hubs fit, or can I just smash the ABS "gears" off?
3. I've seen a huge variation in prices for these front hubs. The ones at fcpeuro.com are about $30, but I've seen them over $300 as well. What's all that about?
