needle valve & seat size? 444-544 1963

I need to replace the needle valves & seats on my SU's.
I see the stock size is .070, but I can get .096. On the mg/jag sites it suggest using the larger for 'performance engines'.
This is for a B18 bored out to B20 size with IPD street performance cam into 2" header/exhaust. So it's not stock, but wouldn't really consider it a performance engine.
Any reason not to get the larger?
