Replacing a 122... 120-130 1966

Greetings all,

To make a long story short, a guy in a truck redecorated the front end of my '66 130 last weekend and the damage, while not appearing to be too crazy, is probably enough that the car will be totalled by the insurance company.

This is heartbreaking for a few reasons, not the least of which is the amount of time, effort, miles and money I've dumped into this car since I bought it. I've logged over 100K miles in the car since July 2010. I've grown rather attached to the car.

At this point, I think the best thing I can do is find another car that is cosmetically much better off but has a tired/dead drivetrain (engine or transmission). The plan would be to transplant everything out of my current car to the "new to me" one.

With that said, I'm curious on others thoughts on the various different body styles.

Are there any major differences between a 2 door and a 4 door?

Any thoughts on other pushrod volvo models? I've always liked the look of the 1800 but the lack of a (real) backseat is a huge downfall. How does a 122 compare to a PV 444 / 544?

Thanks for any input.
