I am at a lost on a no-start condition for my 1991 240. I have retrieved some of the old post, but still am not able to find a solution as maybe I did not quite understand some of the info that i found. Originally had a start problem with the AMM. Did the unplug test and found that to be the problem. Replaced with a boneyard find. Started initially, but now will not start even with the AMM unplugged. Also I have replaced the following with boneyard replacements:
Fuel relay, ECU, power stage, ignition switch and AMM.
The engine cranks but will not start even with a jumper between fuse 4 and 6. When I first turn the switch on, I can hear the fuel pump humming briefly. Subsequent turns of the switch yield no sound at all until I let it sit for a few minutes and then try again. Still will not start though. Also, the cps is only about 2 - 3 years old and I do have a spark from the coil wire. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks BB's
