Mating non OEM header and cat converter? 200

It looks like my header pipe is leaking (and generally covered completely in rust.)

And last night I peeled my O2 sensor right out of the cat convertor. I'm just going to pony up for a completely new exhaust system. Cat back, I already have all of the Starla parts (two mufflers, two pipes, associated hangers and clamps.)

That said, as far as I can tell, Starla doesn't make a catalytic converter. So my local discount parts store has Walker brand headers and Magnaflow catalytic converter pipes.

From what I can tell my 93 runs a loose flange connection to the converter at the moment. ie: the flange on the header pipe is loose and you use a 'donut' gasket between the two.

From what I can tell, Magnaflow part number 23946 is a flat flange rather than a spun flange. Therefore I -THINK- I need to order Walker part number 54555 which is their header with a fixed, flat flange. They also make 54544 which is their version of the loose, spinning flange header.

Have any of you been through this? The reason I'm not buying the IPD kit is because it's nearly 400 dollars before I get it in my hands and my local parts store will have the items here tomorrow for about $225 total.

Thanks for any info!
