B18/B20 distributors

Hi all,
I know this subject has been done to death, but my searching doesn't reveal what I want to find out:

I was going through the parts boxes and found two distributors. The one marked 0231 146 099 JFUR4 is, I think, from a 1974 B20. Can anyone confirm?

The other is marked 0231 176 087 JFU4. No idea what that was from. Anybody know?

They look the same at the bottom end (apart form the first being iron and the second being aluminum), but the tops eg the locating part for the cap, are a bit different. Are the internals the same? Advance curves?

I've got an engine in my long distance rally car, primarily built for torque. I want to take a spare distributor. Will either of these do the job or is there something else I should look for?

Regards
