Originally, when I pressed the steering wheel, the horn was pitiful, so I got suggestions from brickboard. I installed a relay in the front grill area, such that battery power would be directly routed (via the relay) to the horn when the steering wheel was pushed. This worked okay until the relay got stuck in the on position and the horn sounded continuously; luckily, the car was in the driveway and not on the road! It appeared that the relay had gotten wet, when the car went through the car wash, and shorted out. So, I bought another relay, installed it, and wrapped it tightly with black electrical tape; however, it also quit working, probably due to moisture intrusion.
I'm willing to remove the relay modification, and go back to original, or whatever I need to do to get the darn horn to work reliably. I don't want to get into a situation where the horn starts blowing when I'm driving the car. Any suggestions or links that I can view??
Thanks,
Cabbie
