Electrical fan install / temperature sender recommendation 200 1983

After reading the archives I did an electric fan install in a 1983 b21ft / turbo 242. I used the cooling fan, relay, and wiring harness off an 1995 850. The wiring in was a learning experience, but the install went ok but the temperature sender on the radiator is very dead. The radiator is an aftermarket nissen's model 188670. The temperature sensor reads infinity on the multimeter. It is very dead. Does anyone have a recommendation on the sensor that I should use? The wiring is all stock 850.

This is my first turbo. Saw it parked under a mountain of pine needles. No for sale sign so I left a note. The kid said he wanted $600. I came back with tools and got it started. Took a quick drive and and gave the kid his cash. Someone at sometime in the past took good care of this car. The kid I bought the car from was not a good fit for the car.

I plan on this car being a daily driver. Have already gutted all ac from the car, Washington State ac is not necessary. Did the air box mod and am will soon to finish the radiator fan.

Thanks in advance
