1994 944 charging at 15v?!? 900

Hey everyone recently my friend ripped my cell phone charger out of my cigarette lighter causing the whole lighter assembly to fall apart (it was loose to begin with)This caused fuse #14 to blow. I also drove the car for a day before realizing that my fuse blew if that matters at all. I replaced the fuse and noticed via my stinger volt meter (I have a completely upgraded audio system) my electrical system was idling around 15v. I checked the voltage at the alt and that reads at 15v according to my DMM. I was wondering if somehow my regulator might have failed or if it could be something to do with the ambient temp sensor because i know some cars need to read the temp for voltage stuff and that fuse #14 also is for the temp sensor.

Right now i am off at college and my car is at home but my parents will be driving it once or twice a week and i would like my dad to fix the problem if this is something that could harm my electrical.

thanks for any help in advance.
