I have 3 240's: '77 242, '81 245 and an '89 244. Some years ago I am sure I read a Volvo service document that suggested brake bleeding could be done by raising the rear of the car 4-inches higher than the front, then opening ALL bleed screws and letting gravity bleed out the lines. I remember that I did just that and it worked perfectly. I merely kept containers under all four corners, the master cylinder full and sat back and drank coffee while it worked.
Anyone else do this? I'm replacing clipers on my '77 tomorrow and was just wondering. I intend to try this method again.
