Volvo extended warranty a no go S90-V90 2002

Just found out from Volvo North American office that a recall on a V70 I just bought expired just 2 weeks ago. What a bummer! Previous owner had a 2008 fuel pump recall repair done recently but neglected to do the 2006 electronic throttle one it seems. Car hadn't been driven much in last few years by elderly owners and since sitting for awhile this kinda fell through the cracks I guess. I was hoping Volvo would take heart and extend me couple weeks and take care of it but no dice... :(
