67' 122s Automatic tranny, mileage unknown (the broken odometer reads 85k)
Passes PA inspection with no problems
This is my first and only 122 and I pulled it out of a field so I have no idea what the market is. I've searched craigslist etc. but it varies wildly I just want to get a fair price for the car.
- new brake system, everything but the rotors are brand new
- new exhaust system, didn't put the new headers on but they are here
- new fuel lines
- rebuilt su carbs
- seat webbing replaced
- coated the entire underbody and interior floor with really high-grade rustproofing paint, put down some sound deadening material my dad uses on his cars under the rear mat , in the trunk, and on the floor in the front.
- new tires
- bands adjusted in the tranny
-re-did most of the lights on the car
- all the major rust has been eliminated
- upholstery is in good shape except for the corners of the front seats up top
*I'm sure I'm forgetting things here too
Parts included:
- Perfect fuel tank
- Spare tranny (wear unknown but it definitely works)
- backup pieces of almost all of the chrome trim for the entire car in great shape
- trunk panel and bonnet with no rust, mounts included, and the volvo letters and automatic badge missing from the car currently
- Weber single carb kit
- glass for both front windows and winding mechanisms
- replacement bumper pieces, some NOS, for all the dingy and dented ones on the car
- all four bumperettes in nice shape
- 2 rotors
- Replacement plastic for around steering column
- owners manual with automatic insert
- shielded starter coil
- extra door and trunk handles
- replacement lenses for turn signals
- tons of little detail parts
Pretty much have everything someone would need to complete the restoration except the seals for the windows, doors, and trunk
As far as problems go........
-The car needs the front end done pronto. I think it's mostly bushings and maybe some cheap parts here and there but it's pretty squirrely at highway speeds and creaks like all hell.
- There are still a few small rust spots here and there, nothing more than surface bubbles
- The hood and trunk are pretty meh but I have nice ones
- needs front carpeting/mats
- headliner is actually pretty nice but has a couple mouse holes that the sun visors cover from it's days sitting in a field
- needs door and window seals re-done
-dash is a little bit ratty, no holes just two or three of your standard cracks
- Odometer doesn't work (speedo does)
- fuel gauge doesn't work (I smack the side of the tank to check it.)
This car needs a bit more work to be complete but most of the major problems are already taken care of. (and we did everything the right way and fixed a lot of the previous owners mistakes in the process)
It doesn't leak oil or tranny fluid and has never given me any problems at all. I have only had to change oil and brake pads since we got her going.
The only real highway time I've had was a 400 mile round trip to import days at Carlisle and she did well going between 65-70mph the whole way.
Never seen salt since the rebuild
THANKS!!!
