timing 200 1989

I coulda sworn I put this post in recently--oh well.

So, the issue is it seems the timing on our '89 wagon is at 8 degrees BTDC. The manual says its supposed to be at 10. The distributor can not be adjusted, so assuming the 8 is a correct reading, what do I do to rectify this? The wagon does 'feel' to me like the timing is 'off ' when Im driving it. Thanks.
