Oil guage addition question 200

Hi all ..
I found this on E-Bay.

I am thinking it's read is electrical, and not actual oil pressure (as through a tube).

If so, will this connect directly to my current sender down by the alternator on my 92 245? I have nothing but idiot lights now.
