Will a newer 240 p/s pump go onto an older 240? 200 1989

I have an '89 240 with the power steering pump that uses the remote fluid reservoir that's mounted to the fender well. I'm wondering if I can install a newer p/s pump from the 1990+ 240's - the one where the reservoir is mounted directly to the pump?

Has anyone ever done this successfully? Will it mount cleanly? Any modificiations necessary? I suppose just a new p/s fluid line from pump to rack...
