94 940T hesitation 900

Car sat for awhile (4 mos) & it has developed a hesitation/stumble under acceleration from low speed. None at high speed.
Bosch
O2 sensor checks out as OK.
I'm fairly convinced it is the MAF but want to check a few things first.
Hesitation/stumble is worse when it is at operating temp.
I cleaned the MAF & connectors and the hesitation was less pronounced.
A couple of items that may or may not be affecting the scenario
1) the speedo trace is broken on the instr cluster so no speedo signal is present, could this be affecting the hesitation?
2) There is an indication of a possible sticky exhaust valve that gets worse as the engine heats up, same question.
