240 KAE fuel pump relay life span: 3 years 200 1991

in 2009 i bought a new KAE fuel pump relay as preventive maintenance, thinking i should be covered for the life of car. oh boy. a few days ago the no start, no pump prime thing began intermittently and progressively got worse. swapped in a bosch from junkyard (made in '97 if i'm not mistaken). starts right up. glad i have a few of these stocked up.

i mostly drive long distances over the past 3 years so the KAE relay didn't even get that many cycles used.
