Installing Torque Rods After Installing Lowered Springs

Four month ago, I installed the IPD lowering springs on my '83 242 DL and am now going to install the IPD torque rods.

Can someone explain the process of installing the torque rods and getting the driveshaft in alignment? I have read the IPD instructions, but I think there might be more to this than what is listed. In other words, is there a trick to installing the torque rods with lowered springs?
