Redneck engineering and other issues 200 1990

So I am slowly working through the issues, now that the weather is warming up, on my 1990 240 DL Sedan. A new one popped up when I started to remove and re-solder all the relays and do a routine fusebox maint. I knew the main pump would run any time in key position II or III but I was unsure why...now I know.

The PO hot wired the right hand side of fuse 4 and 13 together. So pulled the wire and neither pump runs. First assumption is fuel pump relay or its wiring...but where is the bloody thing (bear with me, this is my first LH 240). Found the OD relay behind the glove-box when it crapped out (re-soldered). There is a second relay there, also white, that I am unfamiliar with. On the driver's side I have an ice cube relay and a white relay with only four spade lugs (seat heaters?). I cannot even find the buzzer relay so I can gut it!

The big clock does not work and the temp gauge only works on alternate full moons. Dimmer and all illumination work great so I am guessing the temp compensator board for the temp gauge while I am a bit stumped on the clock.

Thanks for the help as always.

Mike
