Leak around water pump after new head gasket 900 1993

Hi, all. I had the head gasket replaced on my '93 940 a few months ago. It had about 225K miles on it at the time. Had the work done by a very good and reputable indie. The head was machined and cleaned. Ever since that I am getting a small leak at the water pump. the water pump is not original. I replaced it about 60K miles ago myself. My question is this. Is this related to the head gasket job? Is there a way to tell if the water pump itself is leaking or just the WP gasket/seals? The WP is most likely a Heppu unit, but I don't remember exactly what I chose back then and my records do not include the brand (shame on me!). I am thinking if I am going to take everything apart to replace the gasket and seals should I just go ahead and replace the WP? Heppu pumps go for $55 at FCP, Genuine Volvo for $72 at Tasca. How good or bad are the Heppus? Is my 60K mile old pump on its last legs or should I let it serve for another 40K? I'd rather not spend any more money than I need to right now. I don't mind the labor (it's my own and I got more time than money right now), but I also don't want to duplicate the work if there is a way to test the pump.

Thanks in advance!
