Clutch peddle return spring? 700

trying to finish my First and Last Clutch job on a 740 today. one last question I have on the Clutch peddle return spring. When I got the car Clutch was gone and there was a new spring laying in the Floorboard. At first glance I did not see where it attached. Can anyone shed any light on this. Thanks
