hello-
i read/was told that the oil line from the turbo that connects to the block has an o-ring that can and will fail. i believe that i found this line, snaking behind the oil filter and attaching to the block:

you'll have to excuse the poor quality. the white flash is the oil filter. you can sort of see the pipe snake down below it, and connect to the block. the other end attaches with two bolts to the bottom of the turbo. i post this to ensure that i am looking at the right pipe, and if so, would i have to wait for the engine to be running awhile to witness a leak?
i also found this on the block, it looks like a valve and there's nothing attached to it:

again, the white in the picture is the oil filter. i am wondering if this is supposed to be this way.
when running and underneath the engine, i did not notice any leaks, including where that pipe connects to the block. before i started the engine, right behind the red oil pan where the drain bolt is, i noticed a very little bit of fresh oil at a seal. i wiped it off and while the engine was running no more oil appeared. i climbed back underneath right after the engine was turned off after having been ran for a couple minutes and noticed that there was a little bit of oil where i had wiped. this only appeared on the passenger side. is this the rear main seal?
from underneath, i shined a flashlight up on the driver's side of the engine and there is a drop of oil on the bottom of the throttle body, appearing to come out of a little black piece that looks like some sort of valve. why might this be happening?
