I have a good one here that has me stumped. I have a 1984 245 that I converted to LH 2.2 and EZK ignition. It has developed a stall condition that occurs at random since this past summer. The car will occasionally stumble or stall, (similar to when the igniton has been has been turned off) when one part of a lighting circuit has been turned on. The following are all cicuits that I have observed afflicting the car: Turn signals, Headlamps, Brake Lamps. Turning on the heater fan will not affect the engine.
For instance, I will start the car, let it run for a few minutes to warm up, and when I turn on the headlamps or use the turn signal to move out of the parking spot, the car will occasionally try to stall or it will stumble and keep running. When it does stall, all the warning lamps on the dash will illuminate, but the headlamps and any other lights will stay lit. The only other electrical item that will die with the engine is the radio.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Nick
