Hello;
I need some help. Did my first full tune up. Plugs wires cap rotor cleaned throttle body. The TB looked pretty gunked up (clean now). The first start after all this the motor idles at 1600 rpms. Looked at faq's another gentleman had this same experience but my is a little different. Let me explain: I noticed that the throttle elbow was not resting flush on the screw so I manually just pressed it down a bit to rest on it and problem solved. Next time I drove car same thing not resting on screw so I pressed it down a bit and good idle. Since then however it generally likes to idle at 400 to 200 rpm. So my question is, should I one: adjust the screw first or mess with the throttle cable first? And lastly I never did any adjustments to the thottle adjustment switch after cleaning. Should I have? It seems to "click and click" just fine. Other than this one idle problem car runs much better. Very smooth. Thanks
Paul
