Concerns found during regular brake maintenance, advice sought. 200 1992

Figured it was time to swap out the brake pads since they had 10K miles left tops. Note, this is a 92 245. The front brake pads were evenly worn across all four pads, they were PBR pads and had started to get a bit noisy. On the rear pads, the outer pad on the left rear brake had close to 1mm more meat left than the other three. I checked for stuck pistons and obstructions on the pins and guide walls of the caliper, I found none. Also the car always stops straight even when the pedal is buried. That question is more of a curiosity as there was no hint of a malfunction.

The second one is far more disturbing. On the right front strut, the bung nut holding the strut cartridge in place stripped out and migrated up the strut shaft. As a result, the threads in the strut holder stripped out. My question is besides the bone yard, where can I get a new lower strut assembly (one piece including lower spring perch, tube, caliper mount, and spindle for the wheel.) Note that it needs the hole for the ABS sensor as well. It appears that when I installed the Bil HD struts that I just might have cross threaded the bung nut resulting in this problem.

Thanks for any and all advice!
