good oil to use for 240 200 1989

Has anyone here had any luck with a 0W-40 oil in their 240s? I have normally just used a 10W-30 but where I live now in Illinois sees below freezing in the winter and sometimes over 100 in the summer. I only average between 2500-5000/ year on my car so I normally just do one oil change a year. My car is now due and with winter coming, I'd figure I would canvass you all for your thoughts.
