Belts and timing belt life span 200

I was doing some routine maintenance on my '87 today. The drive belts are still pretty soft and pliable, not cracked or glazed after about 50K miles. I changed them along with the timing belt and tensioner when I dropped in a new '92 engine four years ago. My question is that I remember reading somewhere that Volvo changed the design of the timing belt somewhere late in the production run to one that lasted longer. Does anyone know when that change occurred and what the expected lifespan is? Since the drive belts look pretty robust, should I wait awhile longer to change them out?
