1990 245 outer tie rod end lock nut seized?

I am having a terrible time trying to remove the lock nut on the outer tie rods of my 1990 245. Any suggestions. I have the tie rod stud loose so would be be easy enough to remove the entire steering rod from the rack? I have never done this before so any tips or suggestions on how best to solve this problem is appreciated. Thanks
